USA bandy player and referee Kevin "KB" Bowen is definitely good at bandy. His bandy career began in 1985-86 when together with his dad he skated for The Sons of Norway team.  In 1997 KB joined US elite team The Bandolier and over the next 22 years  won 9 US Championships and 10 North American Cup Championships with the "Mesta Mastarna", both second all time among US players. He has reffed over 1000 league games and also has reffed in 26 international tournaments, including 13 men's world championships, 8 women's world championships, 3 world cups, 1 University Olympic Games and 1 U17 girl's world championship.  KB is also a part of the first 3 generations of US skaters to play bandy, together with his dad Glenn, brothers Glenn JR and Alan and son Christopher.

KB also excels in another realm. He is a renowned playwright, having written and produced both plays and musicals, eleven total, including "The Forgers Apprentice", "The Dwelling Place", and "The Non Producers. He is treasurer of the Minnesota Association of Songwriters and a member of the Minnesota Playwrights Association. A 1983 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a double major in Business and Fine Arts KB, in addition to playing and reffing bandy and writing and producing plays and musicals, also finds time to run his graphic arts design business, Bowen Design.
