From October 27-November 4, 2012 a Bandy team comprised largely of Minnesota players travelled to southern Sweden for five exhibition games and training sessions with notable Swedish coaches and trainers. Training sessions included work with Sergei "Sigge" In-Fa-Lin, Leif Hedberg, Jonas Persson and Daren Richardson. Daren is from St. Paul, Minnesota and is currently the leading scorer for the Vetlanda Bandy Club of the Swedish Elite League.

Games and practices were held at the Sapa Arena in Vetlanda, and the brand new Stinsen Arena in Nässjö. From January 24-26, 2013, Vetlanda and the Sapa Arena will host the Bandy World Championship B Pool.

The USA team was warmly received by local communities and received positive feedback for the level of play. In addition to game experience and skill development, the tour provided excellent exposure of USA Bandy to Swedish teams and fans.

The team finished with a 3-1-1 record. Local players included: Andrew Knutson (team captain), Peter Knutson, John and Tyler Haertzen, Shane Lines, Win Mitchell, Mark Peterson, Ian Middlebrook, Wyatt Wenzel, Mikael Sandberg, Emil Furcht and Jasper Felder.
